Oh Boy, I am not in my natural habitat on that roof. Tractors scare me a little too – at least that big one. And digging down in that pit was just plain uncomfortable. And yet, I’m still plugging along on this build. Project by project.

Hey there! Welcome to my little corner of the internet ~ home of the DIY Crazy Maker

I’m building a house. It’s something I’ve been working on nonstop for a couple of years now and yet most who know I’m attempting this keep asking me if I’m ever going to start. Ha! So, yeah, there’s not much to physically show for my time – yet.

What exactly has taken so much time? All the research, study, learning, and planning, and more recently digging and mud. Note: When you’re doing something for the first time, you have to be willing to do it badly first and then correct it. It is not a fast process, but there IS progress.

So I’ve decided to hop on here and share what I’m up to – and how, and WHY.

You really won’t see me like this much, with my hair down and makeup on

“Celebrate Z Mountains” – while unhelpfully metaphorical for a domain – is a name I keep coming back to. I am attempting to celebrate the good more and at least appreciate the growth -and relief!- after the bad stuff. I have a distant view of mountains from where I’m building and they are spectacular. But after a while even the spectacular tends to become just . . normal. I’m trying to push back on that phenomenon a little by celebrating more of the daily “tiny” wins.
